Grizzly Sports Complex was built in 2011 by a dedicated community providing a premiere location for young athletes to showcase their talents

First public-private partnership in Prince William County, built in less than a year by a dedicated community so young athletes will have a place to play football this season

The Grizzly Sports Complex is a $2.5M facility built through a land lease agreement between Prince William County and the Gainesville-Haymarket Youth Football League (GHYFL). The parents, children and corporate sponsors of the Grizzly organization provided funding for the construction of the Grizzly Sports Complex.

The Grizzly Sports Complex is the first sports park in Western Prince William County with two turf fields designed for multiple sports including football, lacrosse, field hockey and soccer.  The 17-acre facility was made possible through a 35-year land lease agreement between Prince William County and the Grizzly organization.

GHYFL is a non-profit 501c3 organization and is tasked full responsibility to operate and manage the Sports Complex.  All revenue generated from leasing of the facility and concession sales will be used to operate the facility and make ongoing improvements.

The facility could not have been completed on time and on budget without the dedicated support of companies in the community.  Founding corporate partners of the Grizzly Sports Complex include: Brookfield Homes, Mary Ann Ghadban, Skip Albrite, Merrifield Garden Center, C-Con General Contracting, Shaw Sportexe & Shaw Industries, ImagineDesign, Superior Paving, Presidential Storage, MyPlumber, Luck Stone, The Stone Center, Shenandoah Landscaping, Premiere Landscaping.

Corporate Sponsorship is available at the Grizzly Sports Complex and includes onsite marketing opportunities.  The facility operates over 40 weeks a year and expects to be visited by over 100,000 people attending youth sporting events each year..
