HEADLINES | | | FCYFL Votes to Raise Weights By 5 Pounds Across the Board by DrewRoberts posted 05/21/2013 At its April Board of Commissioners meeting, the FCYFL voted overwhelmingly to add 5 pounds to its Age/Weight Matrix at all weight classes except Ankle Biters. The measure was taken in an effort to ensure we continue to serve our community and the largest group of children possible, so the weights were changed to adjust to the growth in the size of children over the last several years. This is the first change in the matrix in over 10 years.
This Age and Weight Matrix is now OFFICIAL, and the new weights appear below.

Caden was recently released from Children's Hospital and is finally home! He still has a long road to full recovery ahead, but is now surrounded by all of his family and friends. GHYFL would like to thank all of our wonderful families who helped us raise over $3500. With the match from GHYFL, we will be able to donate over $6500 to help one of our own Grizzly families!!
Back to top | | | Fall Cheer Program Update by
posted 04/20/2013 We are excited to revamp our Grizzly cheer program for the upcoming 2013 season! We have exciting opportunities for our cheerleaders. Please read over the following information about the new changes.
The main goal is to continue to improve our cheer program and offer the best recreational cheer experience, as well as provide a competition cheer team for our participants. This will give our girls the confidence they need to try out later in middle and high school, if they choose. At this level we are committed to introducing the fundamentals of cheerleading, and offering a safe environment to continually build cheer skills and confidence.
Main changes for the 2013 season:
- Registration fee increase for 2-8th graders. $195 (includes uniform to keep)
- Cheer Level commitments: please read below.
- Kindergarten and first graders: Flag Football Sideline Cheer will be held on Saturdays and Sundays at the Grizzly Sports Complex. No travel involved. $150 (includes use of GHYFL cheer uniform) Cheer teams not assigned to a specific football team.
As we continue to partner with our surrounding high school cheer teams, we will offer camps and clinics throughout the year. These clinics and cheer camps will challenge each girl, and offer additional fundraising for our cheer program.
Please know our cheer committee is working hard to improve our program, and if you have any questions, please contact me. And don’t forget, we are always looking for cheer coaches. No pay, great benefits!
Please see the "cheerleading" tab at top of page for more detailed info.Back to top | | |
